You’ll receive training to build the skills you need through an initial 12-week programme. As a Trainer, you will be supported by a Training Delivery Manager to:
Use varying techniques to plan, prepare and deliver learning programmes that comply with legislation and policies Develop officers’ knowledge by assessing and evaluating their performance, providing unbiased regular feedback and coaching them to competence Collaborate and support the wider L&D team to improve the service and consolidate learning through mentoring Grow your training skills and business knowledge through Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Respond quickly and professionally to changing business priorities What you can bring Qualifications are not essential to be a Trainer, but you must have experience in delivering either formal or informal learning or training programmes.
Are you ethical, professional, open-minded and do you always act with integrity? Sometimes we need to make difficult decisions, and we always need to remain honest and impartial Do you genuinely enjoy working with people and embrace the opportunity to be a role model or leader? You’ll need to communicate clearly with empathy, be good at building relationships and enjoy being part of a team Are you highly organised but also adaptable and able to provide creative solutions? It would be beneficial, but not essential, if you have law enforcement experience, an L&D qualification or a membership of a relevant professional body e.g., CIPD Our team are enthusiastic about their work and keen to tell you more.
