About the Role The SeniorResourceManager will be responsible for leading, shaping and delivering the resourcing strategy across one of the market teams.
Reporting to the Tax RM Team Leader.
The successful applicant will be an integral member of the Senior Operations Team (Market Support Leader, Business Support Leader, HC and Finance).
The SeniorResourceManager will lead a team of 5 people and they will have strategic oversight of the deployment of circa 500 Tax professionals across one market which is split into several sub teams.
This role will be based in London and the successful candidate will work closely with the market teams’ senior stakeholders, building an excellent understanding of the market team via established relationships with Partners and Directors. The key responsibilities of this role include:
Managing, coaching and developing the team to optimise the delivery of an effective RM strategy across the business with a focus on Fair Work Access and business transformation.
Working in a fast paced and changing environment, optimising distribution of workload and deployment of staff, maximising profitability and chargeable hours, whilst balancing the impact on employee engagement, helping to fulfil the People Strategy.
Promoting the use of key resourcing systems, to enable effective and efficient resourcing, driving continuous process improvement and the introduction and adoption of new resourcing technologies Operating in support of the Tax leadership team across the Listed & Inbound market, managing key stakeholder relationships and acting as a sounding board and trusted advisor on resourcing/deployment matters, providing pragmatic advice on workforce planning, people deployment issues and resource management imperatives.
Interpreting and analysing management Information (MI) to provide trends, make connections and spot opportunities to improve profitability on engagements.
Playing an active part in the Wider RM Leadership team, sharing knowledge and best practice, to support the firm's overall People and Resourcing strategy.
Supporting the Tax Team Leader with the delivery of the RM strategy, including supporting recruitment interviews, management of key programmes and strategic initiatives.
Coaching, leadership and support of your team and leading by example.
Delivering outcomes that build relationships by taking into account the different needs of multiple stakeholders, balancing the needs of individuals and those of the business.
Anticipating and recognising when conflict may occur and working to resolve these and escalating if required, offering personal support to enable our people to be the best in their roles.
Understand the firm-wide strategy, business and resource management strategy and know how to apply it.
Input on the Resourcing objectives and vision for the business.Influencing and creating a vision for change by role modelling the behaviours needed to be change agents.
Essential Skills and Experience To enable us to deliver our strategy, we want to attract SeniorResourceManagers from varying backgrounds and industries who have experience in:
Effective liaison, challenge and influencing skills to build and manage senior relationships Developing and sustaining long term relationships with key stakeholders in the business, Resource Management and other operational areas including Ops, HC, Recruitment, L&D and Finance Communicating with impact using different communication styles appropriate to the audience Bringing a commercial mind-set and critical business acumen, including resourcing metrics and KPIs to inform decision making across a business unit.
Developing and driving analytical solutions to improve profitability of the business unit.
Using data analytics and Management Information (MI), networking internally and externally to advise the business on resourcing options and solutions that help to drive growth and profitability Continued professional development of yourself and others, seeking challenges and opportunities that stretch the team and provide an engaging work environment for the RM team Coaching and developing others in the wider team by providing quality, real time feedback with practical and pastoral support to other junior members of the team.
